Result: A working prototype thermography trackside inspection system.
The trackside thermography inspection system concept has been proven by ISQ. The data acquisition system is a commercially available unit so it is the software and the electronics at the sensor end which add value to future exploitation. A unique aspect about the system is that it uses an array of infrared sensors as opposed to a thermography camera. This makes the system significantly cheaper compared to existing commercially available hot spot detection systems.
